A Curated Private Collection
Three significant works — one extraordinary collection.
From the groundbreaking The Currency to bespoke personal commissions.
If you know of anything more desolating, instructive, wonderful, and thrilling, I should like to know what it is.
— Damien Hirst
The Collection
Each piece represents a distinct chapter in Hirst's career — a movement that redefined the relationship between art, value, and the viewer.
I
"Little Precious Stone"
Part of Hirst's groundbreaking 10,000-piece project that explored the intersection of art, value, and digital culture. Each of the 10,000 watercolour paintings was paired with a unique NFT. Collectors faced a binary choice: keep the digital token or redeem it for the physical work — burning their NFT in the process.
This piece — Token #105 — was redeemed for its physical counterpart. The NFT was destroyed, the painting was claimed and withdrawn from circulation. What remains is the physical artwork: tangible, unique, and permanently separated from its digital twin.
While this work circulated as an NFT, multiple offers were received on the Palm Network — an Ethereum Layer 2 sidechain. The blockchain records these moments, anchoring this piece's journey in verifiable digital history.
II
Authenticated Print
An artist-signed poster edition, authenticated and bearing Hirst's signature — a tangible link to one of the most influential artists of our time. Signed editions carry particular weight in the secondary market, as they represent the artist's direct endorsement of the work.
III
"For Joya"
A bespoke spin painting — approximately 60cm in diameter — personally inscribed with "For Joya" beside Hirst's signature. The spin painting is one of Hirst's most iconic forms: a circular canvas where paint is distributed by centrifugal force, creating mesmerizing, unpredictable patterns that sit at the intersection of control and chance.
Inscribed works carry significant personal and monetary value, as the artist's dedication transforms a mass-produced form into an individual gift — a one-of-one even within a series of identical techniques.
"For Joya" is not merely a dedication — it is proof of a direct relationship between artist and collector. This inscription elevates the work from signed edition to singular object of personal and market value.
All three works are available individually or as a complete collection to a single collector.
Private InquiryProvenance
A fixed series of 10,000 original artworks, each paired with a unique NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. The redemption window closed July 2022 — 5,149 physical works claimed, 4,851 NFTs retained. Unclaimed physicals were destroyed.
While Token #105 was still an NFT, it received multiple offers on-chain through the Palm Network — an Ethereum Layer 2 sidechain. These offers are permanently recorded on the blockchain, forming a verifiable trail of collector interest.
All works in this collection carry direct authenticated links to Damien Hirst — the burned NFT proving exclusive physical ownership, the signed poster bearing the artist's hand, and the personally inscribed spin painting.
